My name is Nicolai Borchorst. I’m 27 years old and live with my girlfriend and our son just north of Copenhagen in Denmark. I have been in the industry for 8 years, starting out as a trainee at a VAR where I would obtain my CCNA in 2014. Over the next few years, I would become increasingly interested in security. In 2016 I graduated from a five-year IT education in Denmark named data technician specializing in infrastructure. I moved into an SE role for the same VAR, and In 2019 I obtained my CCNP Security. Shortly after, I transitioned into a similar role at a different VAR, where I still work today. My job consists of both technical pre-sales and design and implementation of the entire Cisco Security portfolio for our customers.
In December 2021, I passed the CCIE Security Lab exam and became CCIE #65775. This blog is intended to share the knowledge I have obtained during this journey, along with other security-related topics I find interesting. I’m constantly studying and labbing new technology, and this blog is my way of documenting and sharing my experiences.
